Aft er coffee at McDonald's , We left Geraldton at 11 am. What a beautiful drive to Morawa via Mullewa. We took photos of wild flowers, large fields of canola and wheat. Arrived at 4pm. Lunched on roast lamb and chicken salad at the pub at Mullewa. No accommodation there. Booked into the Everlastings guest house at Morawa. We are sitting on the verandah with a G and T in hand, looking across the road at horses in green paddocks. Very quiet town. Friendly people in the information centre.
We saw and took photos of masses of wild flowers. Roads are super, weather perfect.
Had tea and scones provided by the CWA ladies. A real country hall ,
A once popular dance hall , A few caravans found a little shade
Behind the hall. We provided the soil with urea!!. Not a car in sight.
The guest house at Mowara, gosh it was a cold night. The bathroom was as large as our twin room, the friendly staff gave us a huge bag of grapefruit on departure, the town is small and friendly. Had a nice chat with ladies in an art and craft shop. All locally made,
