Morawa to York

O

On the 31st, we left Morawa at 9a.m.  Again we saw fields,of lupins,  canola and wheat, not to mention more wild flowers.  We took a left turn to a native reserve where we viewed an overnight caravan. Down the track  a bit, we took a right, travelling along a good secondary road, taking photos of flowers.  Lots of different ones.  

Arriving at Coorow, we had a crap coffee from a road house, then enquired

at the community centre re where to see  wreath flowers.  Pamela asked an educated lady behind the desk why she lived in the area!!  Her answer was because her husband owned a property,  probably one of the very large holdings in the area.  All properties are enormous.  Large silos everywhere and silo bases being installed.  

Arriving at Moora we ate a delicious chicken and salad roll at the bakery.  Prior to that we called at a large wild flower farm that supplies countries overseas,  

On to New Norcia where we went to the museum and art gallery.  A Spanish Monk set up the monastery in the 1850,s.    Drove on to Northam hoping to find a motel to rest our weary body,  Not one in sight, so onto York where we are staying in a beautiful air conditioned  room at the back of the hotel,  Continental breakfast included in the $140 for a twin.  They are double beds!

Off to Wave Rock tomorrow.  About a three hour drive.  Two motels there, and reception here said we should book!   They have offered to do so.  Great as I Don,t have money on my mobile!!  

Temperature is predicted to be minus 2 tomorrow,  first day of spring.
